Summer 2012 – Trip Overview

In the Summer of 2012 we took our first team to Haiti from the Holland Park Church of Christ – there were 17 of us total, including my daughter Bethany and I (this was my third trip to Haiti and Bethany’s second).

Over the course of the week our team conducted a series of ministry efforts throughout Southern Haiti, including:

• Teaching bible classes and leading worship at the Delmas 28 Church of Christ in Port-au-Prince
• Working with 80+ children at two Christian orphanages
• Conducting a “Mini-VBS” for approx. 800 children from the cities of Port-au-Prince, Cazeau, and Cite Soleil, and the mountain villages of Hinche, Robert, Brajirois, Saintard, Dubuisson, Mirebalais, Pageste, and Thomazeau
• Conducting an evangelistic outreach program for adults in those same cities and villages
• Conducting food and clothing distribution programs in all of those areas
