The photo above was taken this past Monday, as JT and his team were staging supplies to be loaded in the box truck and taken out to various churches in Haiti’s southern peninsula that were hardest hit by the August 14th earthquake.
They left early Tuesday morning with a team of ministers, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, construction engineers, and workers. Over the course of this past week they visited a number of remote villages, conducting medical clinics and distributing essential supplies – water, rice and beans, cooking oil, hygiene kits, flashlights, tarps, etc.
I spoke with JT this morning, and he said additional trips to Les Cayes, Jeremie, and Chambellan are planned for next week.
Please note that The Haiti Fund has already sent $3000 to assist with this effort – we would love to send more, but that hinges on receiving additional donations for earthquake relief.
