“A special group of doctors, nurses, and ministers made another trip to the southern Peninsula last week to address the needs of the earthquake victims. I want to thank you for your prayers and support of this awesome endeavor, more and more travelling is becoming very dangerous in Haiti but God has protected us and is making our plan a reality.
“During this journey we were able to touch the lives of our brothers and sisters in Rousseau, Citron, Lazile, Les Cayes, Chantales, Camperin, Chambelan, and Jeremie. We provided comfort, support, supplies, and medical care to approx. 1500 families. We were able to distribute food, medicine, hygiene supplies, tarps, and money to a good number of people in great need. The most urgent needs are for housing, food, medicine, and psychological support.
“We have identified 7 church buildings that were completely destroyed or seriously damaged in the earthquake, and approx. 200 Christian families whose homes were destroyed. We will do what we can to help, with the resources that have been made available to us. We are also seeing needs and opportunities for training many of these preachers on the southern peninsula.”
