Thought some of you might be interested in this – just got done filing the annual statements for The Haiti Fund required by the IRS and the SC Secretary of State – here’s how the 2022 financials broke down, as far as what percentage of our funding went to what costs:
71.0% – Construction of new housing for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage
11.1% – Expenses for conducting our various ministry activities on two different mission trips
7.1% – Construction of new school building in the village of Dumas
5.7% – Food for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage
2.4% – Operational expenses for Delmas Christian University (our Preachers’ Training School)
1.6% – Tuition and school fees for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage
0.5% – Christmas presents and Christmas dinner for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage
So that’s a total of 99.4% that went directly to our mission projects.
The total for all administrative costs* was only 0.6%, which includes wire transfer fees; website hosting and annual domain registration; annual filing fees with the SC Secretary of State’s Office; PayPal credit card processing fees; international phone service; office supplies; printing; and postage.
* Note that all administrative costs are paid for by Haiti Fund Board Members – none of it comes out of your donations.
