This will be Alison’s first time going to Haiti, so y’all can start giving her all your “first time Haiti traveler” advice 😊.

Thanks to your help, we’ve been able to move forward with several much-needed improvements to the St Michel Orphanage facilities, including most recently giving it a fresh coat of paint (photo below):
And one final tidbit…
I saw a news article the other day that caught my attention: The Haitian government has now increased the minimum wage in Haiti by 46%.
That may sound like good news (and I guess it is, relatively speaking) but I did the math on it – even with the 46% increase, the minimum wage in Haiti is now still just $0.96 per hour in US dollars.
(Can you imagine supporting even yourself, let alone providing for your children, on just $0.96/hr???)
I’m sure I don’t express this nearly often enough but I am truly, truly grateful for all of you who help out with food for the St Michel Orphanage, and to ease the burden of our dear Christian brothers and sisters in Haiti.
