All contributions to The Haiti Fund are 100% donor directed; each donor specifies what they want their money to go toward, and then every single penny of their donation is used for that specific purpose or project. In contrast to many similar non-profit organizations, no donor funds are ever used for marketing, administration, overhead, or any other ancillary expense.
We achieve this financial efficiency using a simple and effective stewardship strategy:
a) All Haiti Fund activities in the U.S. are conducted on a volunteer basis – we have no employees, pay no salaries, and no officers, directors, or board members receive any compensation for their time.
b) Any administrative costs we incur (federal and state filing fees, bank wire transfer fees, website maintenance, printing, postage, office supplies) are covered through personal donations by Haiti Fund Board Members.
