Trip 4 – Our First Evangelistic Trip

Overview of the week:

In March of 2013 I took three other men from the Holland Park Church of Christ back to Haiti with me – Jim Hopkins (first Haiti trip), Jeff Crisp (second trip), and Carl Lancaster (fourth trip).

Our primary goal for the week was to conduct a series of evangelistic outreach activities that had been set up and coordinated by Jeantyrard Elmera (known as JT), the minister for the Delmas 28 Church of Christ in Port-au-Prince.

None of us really knew going in what exactly the week was going to look like, but JT kept us plenty busy…

• Over the course of the week we preached 16 different times in 10 different places

• There were a total of 35 people baptized

• On one particular day we ended up making three different trips down to the river to baptize people, including a final run at about 10 o’clock at night

• We also taped a couple hours of television shows that were later broadcast to several million people in the Port-au-Prince area
