Just Got This Email

Got the following email in response to my last post – felt like this was worth sharing with everyone:

“Greg, thank you. I’ve had discussions with family members whose churches are limiting or stopping altogether their Haiti programs because of lack of accountability on the recipients as to cash flow or because their denominational protocols  and requirements can’t be followed through in Haiti. They are very pleased to hear how our own Haiti fund has continued and seemed to have made a lasting impact.

“We can talk about this privately, but I cannot see us giving up on this nation. We have made deep and lasting friendships with our Christian brothers and sisters who themselves have become evangelizers and missionaries to their fellow countrymen, just as you have said.

“And I agree that This is what will make a difference in Haiti. A lasting relationship with our Lord is what keeps every one of us going. That is what makes the difference in our lives and in our brothers and sisters in the churches worldwide. Hope – hope for a better future, hope for their families and their fellow countryman is what will result in growth.

“I thank God for the way he has touched the hearts of so many of us to see what can be done and the way to go about it. Is it easy or 100% successful everywhere and in every way? No. Because we are dealing, even in Eastern Europe, with people whose history and political differences make their lives so much more different and complex than ours. ‘Never give up’ – W Churchill – is the only way. Thank you. Please never give up.”
