Thought some of you might be interested in this – just got done filing the annual statements for The Haiti Fund required by the IRS and the SC Secretary of State – here’s how the 2020 financials broke down, as far as what percentage of our funding went to what costs:
37.6% – Purchase of pickup truck for the St. Michel Church, School, and Orphanage.
26.5% – Operational expenses for Delmas Christian University (our Preachers’ Training School).
26.5% – Food for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage.
5.0% – Crisis assistance for the church in Chambellan, following the death of Madanm Gereel.
2.2% – Assistance with the cost of implementing government mandated Covid precautions at the St. Michel Orphanage.
So that’s a total of 97.8% that went directly to our mission projects.
The total for all administrative costs* was only 2.2%, which includes wire transfer fees; website hosting and annual domain registration; annual filing fees with the SC Secretary of State’s Office; PayPal credit card processing fees; international phone service; office supplies; printing; and postage.
* Note that all administrative costs are paid for by Haiti Fund Board Members – none of it come out of your donations.
