Thought some of you might be interested in this – just got done filing the annual statements for The Haiti Fund required by the IRS and the SC Secretary of State – here’s how the 2021 financials broke down, as far as what percentage of our funding went to what costs:
49.6% – Disaster relief following the August 2021 earthquake in Haiti’s southern peninsula.
28.0% – Operational expenses for Delmas Christian University (our Preachers’ Training School).
17.5% – Food for the children at the St. Michel Orphanage.
3.4% – Expenses related to the Medical Missions trip in October.
So that’s a total of 98.5% that went directly to our mission projects.
The total for all administrative costs* was only 1.5%, which includes wire transfer fees; website hosting and annual domain registration; annual filing fees with the SC Secretary of State’s Office; PayPal credit card processing fees; international phone service; office supplies; printing; and postage.
* Note that all administrative costs are paid for by Haiti Fund Board Members – none of it come out of your donations.
