JT called me early this morning, saying that he’d received a call about 5am from Jeriel (preacher in Chambellan, and brother of Jean Martel) – Jeriel’s wife died suddenly during the night, after complaining of chest pain the last couple days.
JT said Jeriel was pretty tore up, and hardly able to speak – I texted Jeriel after getting off the phone with JT, and let him know we were praying for him, their son Apollos, and the church in Chambellan.
The photo above shows their family when we first met them in 2015 – once again I am reminded of how fragile and tenuous life in Haiti is.
