The photo above was taken yesterday morning in Cameron Parish, which was pretty much ground zero for Hurricane Laura’s landfall in Louisiana.
I spoke again last night with one of the Elders at the Enterprise Blvd Church of Christ in Lake Charles, and he reiterated that they definitely need and appreciate all the help they can get. We’re still finalizing some details on the volunteer efforts (mainly logistic stuff – current challenges are no power, no safe water supply, no lodging, limited food options – plus Covid restrictions) – again, please alert me if you want me to keep you in the loop as those details come together (hopefully today).
