Thanks to a few gracious Haiti Fund donors who wanted to chip in on this, we were able to provide Christmas presents and a traditional Haitian holiday meal for the orphanage children and the kindergarten students in the village of Dumas, Haiti.
(Dumas, you may recall, is the tiny village near the DR border that I absolutely fell in love with on my October trip, and I’m really looking forward to getting back to!)
Sonel Dorsainvil, the minister in Dumas, sent me the photos above on Christmas day, along with a note saying, “Hello Greg, we are pleased to thank you for making this day so happy for the children – Merry Christmas to you from us in Dumas.”
