I’m pretty excited – we’ve officially broken ground on construction for housing at the St. Michel Orphanage!
Another thing I am SUPER excited about: JT has sent Mytil to oversee the work in St. Michel – he will stay on-site until the project is completed, and has promised to send me photos and progress updates weekly.
(For those of you not familiar: “JT” is Jeantyrard Elmera, the Haitian minister we’ve been working closely with since 2011; “Mytil” is Emmanuel Mytil, Associate Minister at Delmas, Dean of Students for our Preachers’ Training School, and JT’s most trusted protégé who he’s been mentoring closely for several years. Based on everything that’s been said, I’m pretty sure that JT is preparing Mytil to take his place at some point in the future – you can read more about Mytil in our “graduate bio’s” at https://thehaitifund.org/2020/04/25/preachers-training-school-graduate-profiles-1/)

Many thanks again to all of you who’ve been helping with this – I will definitely keep you posted as things progress!
